ADVBEASTFREAKBB: Beast Freak #13 Flipper
Andre De Villiers Knives
The Beast is another awesome flipper from Andre De Villiers that has nearly effortless action. It's smooth, fast, sharp and stout--really everything one looks for in a tactical blade. The Beast Freak has a 3.75" clip point tanto blade made from excellent S35VN stainless steel, with a polished satin finish. The handle is made from milled titanium that is textured for extra grip support. Andre's knives have an unparalleled action to them which knife enthusiasts can't get enough of.
The titanium lock has an integral lockbar insert/over-travel mechanism that provides solid lockup while being very easy to disengage. The pivot point, though, is what sets this knife apart from all others. It has an inset torx screw that fits inside the pivot, allowing you to tighten down the pivot while adjusting the centering or overall smoothness of the action. The action is very smooth to say the least. Jimping on the redesigned flipper tang and thumb ramp are sharp and functional--really nothing was overlooked on this awesome design. The milled titanium pocket clip on the Beast has also been redesigned to match the look of the handle and it secures the knife tightly in place. This may not be your typical looking knife, but get it in your hand and you'll definitely warm up to the design thanks to all the great features it has and the fact that the action is on par with even the best flipping designs.

Semi-Custom or Mid-Tech knives are knives produced by a process in which the designer has more direct--but not complete--involvement; parts of these knives may still have been made by others.
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
A tougher steel than S30V, it retains the excellent corrosive properties and ability to take an edge, but improves on the ability to hold that edge.
A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.
