This knife is the best I have ever owned.
I have always wanted a Benchmade knife and I finally decided on the Fixed Infidel 4.52" Double Edge Blade. The craftsmanship is unbelievable and the size is perfect. I have it with me at all times and I so happy with this style of knife and the sheath that comes with it.

Infidel
IMHO fixed blades are the best. Everything I expected and as the review states” Fixed Infidel is a stellar tool with sleek looks and devastating lethality. This full-tang design affords the certainty of a fixed blade for some of the uncertainty of the mission.” Very happy with the folks at knife center.

Why grind the edge only on one side of the blade?
I like the feel of the handle. The sheath has a positive detente to retain the blade. The strap feels like it will break and the riveting looks cheesy. It is a 'black class' as apposed to 'gold class' product. The edge is sharp out of the box and it would have to be. The edge is ground only on one side of the blade and polished lightly on the other. I found out this is an intentional approach to sharpening. I don't know why they sharpen like this.
