BM4841601: 484-1601 Nakamura AXIS, KnifeCenter Exclusive
Benchmade

The Nakamura is a beautiful gentleman's tactical folder and one we think so highly of at the KnifeCenter, we had to bring in an exclusive of our own. At just under four inches closed, it is very comfortable in the pocket. The M390 stainless steel coupled with AXIS lock functionality and contoured stabilized wood handles with stainless liners, makes this a top US-made folder in our book! A unique tool steel, M390 is an Austrian powdered steel with a uniform micro-structure that provides superior levels of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, making this steel one of the most well-rounded premium steels in the world. The contoured stabilized wood handles are extremely ergonomic and the grooves lock your fingers in for a superb grip. It offers great looks with the addition of the orange barrel spacers/pivot rings and is exceptionally strong for its minimal weight. The 484-1601 Nakamura AXIS by Benchmade Knives brings the best of both worlds to the KnifeCenter: detailed design and functional strength.

BENCHMADE 484-1601 NAKAMURA FOLDER 3.08 INH BLADE
QUICK AND SIMPLE REVIEW..VERY WELL MADE, MY FAVORITE POCKET KNIFE. EASY OPENING , SHARP AND A WORK OF ART..I THINK BENCHMADE ARE THE BEST MADE POCKET KNIVES. I HAVE ANOTHER AND THAT IS ALSO A FAVORITE OF MNE.I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO PURCHASE THE BENCHMADE 3150 IMPEL AUTO 1.98 INCH 530V SATIN BLDE BUT CAN'T BECAUSE OF THE RETRICTIONS ON BUYING IT. IT IS AN AUTOMATIC OPENING KNIFE. THE NAKAMURA OPENS JUST AS EASY AND IS A LARGER BLADE.THE OTHER BENCHMADE I OWN IS A 556-1 MNI RIPILIAN 2.91 INCH CPM-20CV DROP POINT BLADE WITH GRAY HANDLES, ANOTHER WORK OF ART.AND A VERY SHARP KNIFE & ALL BENCHMADE ARE MADE IN THE USA..

Cons: Pocket Clip, None
Nice knife, minor complaint.
Great knife by a customer oriented company. Some complained of the thumb studs, and they do kinda suck. They are bearable though. My complaint is the tip of the pocket clip. It catches things easily. Wish it didn't stick up so far. Otherwise...butter smooth action. Locks tight. Holds an amazing edge. And god steel. Those who complained of having a hard time sharpening....send it to benchmade. They do it for free. They also will look the knife over for any other issues and send it back. I have a backup knife. And a backup to my backup. I suppose that only is an issue of this is your only knife.
