CR2367RS: Lucas Burnley Designed Satin Obake, Red
CRKT

Custom knifemaker Lucas Burnley has designed this Obake model for Columbia River. It's a remarkably thin profile fixed blade that should be very easy to carry and comes with a belt loop that can be attached to the sheath. The sheath has a lanyard with a skull bead on it -looks very cool! The cord wrapped handle feels good and secure in one's grip and the ray skin underneath looks nice. Also high styled on this beauty is the etched pattern on the blade. Burnley creates similar knives at the custom level but this one is a fantastic deal. It's thin, light, very nicely made and very affordable. We like this knife at the KnifeCenter very much.

It says something about you: just walk away.

The Obake by Lucas Burnley is bold. It's a throwback to a classic Japanese Kwaiken design that's ready to throw down, if trouble turns up. The distinctive blade of this full tang fixed blade knife has a gray titanium nitride finish that is acid etched to give it a unique pattern that will be exclusive to each fortunate owner. The handle has a katana style nylon cord wrap over a red faux ray skin.

The sheath of the Obake is made from glass filled nylon that will give consistent retention even in hot environments. A paracord lanyard on the sheath is designed to attach to your belt loop and keep the sheath in place when you deploy the knife. A skull bead adds a not-so-subtle accent to the paracord lanyard.

This small fixed blade knife comes with a sturdy belt carry system and hardware that attaches to the grommets on the sheath.

The Obake isn't looking for work, but it shows up looking like a boss when it's time to get a job done.

Useful little Shiv
This is one useful and inexpensive EDC fixed blade. The sheath is serviceable, surprisingly. The blade is concealable, accessible and just the right size for light cutting tasks or last ditch backup. The cord wrapped handle is grippy and aesthetically pleasing. If it gets lost or ditched, you aren’t out a buttload of money. Highly recommend with hopes that a better steel version will one day be made.

A forth one can't hurt
I own the big three by James Williams that are truly impressive. When I saw this one by Lucas Burnley it seemed only natural to add it to my collection. Except, in this case, it will be with me every day. Small, lightweight, useable for just about everything and just plain nice to hold in the hand. It's a beautiful blade and a pleasure to own.
