Description
KS1670PURBDZ:1670PURBDZ Tanto Blur
Kershaw Knives

The Tanto Blur offers all the great grip advantages of the other Blurs on the force, but this one offers tactical styling with a modified tanto blade in a special limited edition configuration.

With its angled shape, the tanto blade provides additional piercing power to penetrate tough materials. The unique shape puts more steel behind the point to support its piercing tasks. We've also found that the short front edge is particularly handy for opening boxes. For razor sharpness, Kershaw hollow grinds the edge and the stonewashed finish will stand up very well even after hard use.

All this makes the Tanto Blur a good choice for situations in which you're going to need to make an impact on your environment. In an emergency, could be a real lifesaver. The Tanto Blur BDZ1 Limited Edition's blade is built of CTS-BDZ1 high-performance stainless steel for superior edge retention and excellent stain resistance. Purple anodized aluminum handles of durable 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with sure-grip Trac-Tec inserts complete the Tanto Blur's sleek look.

The KS1670PURBDZ Tanto Blur in purple is a limited edition of 1,000 pieces.

Cons: None
Blurple Is a Great Color
I picked this up at a shop while visiting my daughter in Knoxville. Like my other Kershaw assisted openers, I like that way that this pops open. The lock up is solid. It closes easily with one hand. It is easy to get very sharp, but I have not been impressed with the edge retention. I like the 180 grit sand paper inserts. It locks into my hand. Could it be that it has damaged my pockets? Frayed so. Or maybe the pockets were ragged to start with. I really like this knife and have no regrets regarding the purchase....except one. I should have gotten it here. The price is better.

Awesome
I've got a few Blurs and I love em! As always, a great handle with plenty of grip, ergonomic and comfortable in the hands. Handle always feels bigger than it actually is, plenty of room. This is the first Tanto blade I've got usually preferring the plain recurve style but have been pleasantly surprised with the looks and usability of the straight edges.Razor sharp out of the box and amazing speedsafe opening. Can't really comment on this Bdz steel yet but at this price for a US made Kershaw Blur......Get one!

Disappointed...
The blade and ease of opening is awesome. However, the inlays in the handle are like 180 grit sandpaper that can remove skin! Pulling it in and out of my pocket was uncomfortable. Couldn't use it as an EDC so I traded it off. Oh well....
