KS1670PURBDZ:1670PURBDZ Tanto Blur
Kershaw Knives

The Tanto Blur offers all the great grip advantages of the other Blurs on the force, but this one offers tactical styling with a modified tanto blade in a special limited edition configuration.

With its angled shape, the tanto blade provides additional piercing power to penetrate tough materials. The unique shape puts more steel behind the point to support its piercing tasks. We've also found that the short front edge is particularly handy for opening boxes. For razor sharpness, Kershaw hollow grinds the edge and the stonewashed finish will stand up very well even after hard use.

All this makes the Tanto Blur a good choice for situations in which you're going to need to make an impact on your environment. In an emergency, could be a real lifesaver. The Tanto Blur BDZ1 Limited Edition's blade is built of CTS-BDZ1 high-performance stainless steel for superior edge retention and excellent stain resistance. Purple anodized aluminum handles of durable 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with sure-grip Trac-Tec inserts complete the Tanto Blur's sleek look.

The KS1670PURBDZ Tanto Blur in purple is a limited edition of 1,000 pieces.

Cons: Pocket Clip
Awesome
I've got a few Blurs and I love em! As always, a great handle with plenty of grip, ergonomic and comfortable in the hands. Handle always feels bigger than it actually is, plenty of room. This is the first Tanto blade I've got usually preferring the plain recurve style but have been pleasantly surprised with the looks and usability of the straight edges. Razor sharp out of the box and amazing speedsafe opening. Can't really comment on this Bdz steel yet but at this price for a US made Kershaw Blur......Get one!

Cons: Handle Feel, Handle Material
Disappointed...
The blade and ease of opening is awesome. However, the inlays in the handle are like 180 grit sandpaper that can remove skin! Pulling it in and out of my pocket was uncomfortable. Couldn't use it as an EDC so I traded it off. Oh well....

one HELL OF A KNIFE
I have owned several of these knives. You cannot get a better grip; fish goo, blood & guts, oil etc. your good. They do wear pockets more than other handle materials a minor quibble.I prefere a thong to pocket clip and they thoughtfully provide a hole for one. Previous blades were AUS8A a good working mans steel. Don't know about BDZ1 hope it is better. The handle is big enough to give good purchase, thin enough to be unobtrusive while riding sitting, walking. The construction is robust. I live on the river. I clear brush, gut, skin,do automotive and boat work. Constuction:strip wire, drywall,Floor tile, etc. In short I use this knife. Kershaw's warranty performance has always met my expectations when needed. That and Knife Center's price and service make this a product worthy of consideration.
