Kizer Envoy
I am not a knife collector, but I do own a number of knives including a Buck Marksmen and a Kershaw Cyro and Scallion. The Scallion was my every day carry for work, but at 2.25" I found it a little short, though I found the blade shape very attractive and useful. The Marksmen on the other hand was a half inch too long for work and was a little aggressive looking. The Cyro is a great knife, but heavy. I also have a little Gerber Trendy on my keyfob all of the time. Let's just say I feel undressed, if I forget to clip (or slip) a knife to my pocket.So, I was looking for a "new" EDC. It had to have as many of these features as possible: a good or better blade steel, a satin or stone-washed finish blade, an unassisted flipper, a blade a tick under 3" in length, a non-aggressive, handsome (but not boring) appearance, and a deep carry pocket clip.Enter the Kizer Envoy. This knife met or exceeded my expectations. The Envoy is a titanium frame lock with ceramic bearings smoothly flipping open a stone-washed blade just under 3" long. This is a very handsome knife. The fit and finish are perfect. It is nicely balanced in my hand. It came with a carry pouch (surprise) that I now use to store my other EDC knives when not in use.I was fortunate to have been able to purchase this knife "on sale". I was not disappointed. And when I leave the house every day I look forward to quartering my apple with my Kizer Envoy.
