KUKI5467: Ki5467 Matt Degnan Kane Folding Knife
Kizer Cutlery
The Ki5467 Kane Flipper by Kizer Cutlery is a collaborative project between Kizer and custom knifemaker Matt Degnan, based off his awesome Degnan XL flipper. The harpoon style blade swings out whisper quiet on a caged ball bearing pivot action between full titanium handles accentuated by sparkling blue anodized pivot and screws. The 3.75" CPM-S35VN stainless steel blade has a gorgeous drop point shape and non-reflective stonewashed finish. This folder has a very streamlined look and comfortable feel in the hand and in the pocket. The bearing pivot system allows for smooth blade opening, as with all Kizer knives. The matte silver finished titanium handle is slim and definitely one of the most comfortable we've ever held. Every surface and every edge is contoured for comfort and gives the knife a very high-class feel and look with the blue anodized hardware. It features a lockbar overtravel prevention mechanism, replaceable steel insert and comes with a tip-up carry pocket clip that is reversible for lefties. This is a great sized folder for every task and is built with a quality anyone can appreciate.

Kizer uses high-tech wire EDM machines to cut the parts. This method is slower than laser or water jet but feel quality is worth the wait. Each component in Kizer knives are precision machined and engineered to the finest tolerances. The final fit, finish, action and sharpness of each knife are achieved entirely by hand, employing the irreplaceable craftsmanship developed by generations of cutler masters. Dedicated craftsman honoring the long-term goal of making the best knives possible is what Kizer brings to you.

Great value
I'm left handed, but wanted a knife for my right pocket when I CCW in my left.I usually carry a left-handed Chris Reeve Umnumzen/Startac (~$490), so I wanted something with similar characteristics, but didn't want to break the bank; this knife fits the bill, perfectly. Titanium handles/frame lock, S35VN steel blade, harpoon-style blade are on my list of "likes" for a daily carry. It does lack jimping on the back of the blade and the frame has no texturing, so can be a little slick when wet (both are money-saving removals from manufacturing), but for $134, you can't go wrong.

Great knife
Great action , fit and finish, steel and a fab design. I have seen that someone is complaining about the pivot is coming loose. I take that as a good sign because that means that they are not using red Loctite so we can adjust the pivot to our liking and use blue Loctite 243 to get it to the point we want it. Great knife.

Awesome but wait
Is getting really smooth but pivot keeps coming loose and clip isn't tight and blue pivot has some marks. But other then that it is really sharp action i's getting there.
