SP10ZFPGR: Endura Flat Ground Zome Green
The Spyderco Endura 4 is one of their most enduring designs, and for good reason. With comfortable ergos, a capable blade, and multiple options for easy carry, the Endura has inspired many imitators over the years. Now with hand-dyed Zome-style (pronounced "zoh-may") Camo handle scales, this special edition here at KnifeCenter backs up performance with one-of-a-kind style and is sure to become a collectible.

Inspired by traditional Japanese hiki-zome (brush dyeing) techniques, the FRN handles are molded in a light base color and then individually hand dyed by expert Japanese artisans. No two of these knives are alike. Various colors of dye are hand brushed onto the handle to create distinctive patterns. These dyes completely permeate and permanently color the FRN.

These special handles are backed up by the classic Endura platform. Slim and easily pocketable, bi-directional texturing on the FRN scales ensures a solid grip even in the worst of conditions. The Delica also allows for nearly any carry preference: a four-position stainless pocket clip allows for carry on the left or right side, in tip-up or tip-down configurations.

The blade itself is made from VG-10, ensuring a long-lasting edge, and sports a full flat grind for excellent slicing capability. Straddling the line between a drop point and a modified-Wharncliffe shape, this blade lends itself well to all manner of everyday needs. Jimping along the integrated thumb ramp helps with fine control and allows you to really take advantage of the fine tip. A strong lock back keeps the blade open and is equipped with a Boye-dent to avoid accidental closure.

An always wonderful (and now beautiful) cutting tool
I always considered the Endura the perfect folder for those who carry one to use it. Perfect construction, strong materials, ideal blade size for almost all cutting tasks and the perfect blade/handle ratio (I prefer it over the one which seems to be latest Spyderco standard -Para2, Para3-). All this for a very affordable price. The Endura is a working knife, not a 600$ Paysan or Sebenza which many would not dare to use because they could get scratched. The Zome is a beautiful variation which just adds charm to the practicality.Though my dream would be a Endura with a S110V blade, a carbon fiber handle, a compression lock, and a (truly) deep carry clip like that of the Spyderco UKPK ...

Great knife, Spyderco; you can pay more but you don't get as much.
Have loved this company since '94. KnifeCenter is a great company also. They are fast and great communicators; priced right. The zome brush on this one was heavy, the scales could pass for black. Spyderco changed their stamping on the blade; not quite as deep as my previous Spydies. Grind is not quite a perfect (10x loupe) as the older ones either. I was worried that this was a clone, but I don't think anybody cloned this model and I'm sure KnifeCenter would have nothing to do with that kind of situation. All and all I am very pleased with the knife and will carry it and use it.
