Pros: Design, Construction, Material Quality, Sharpness, Overall Quality, Durability
40+ yrs still works great
I was given this great knife when I was 19 and in college and I am now 61. Same one. I use it many times a week if not quite daily. I reach for it for slicing vegetables especially ripe tomatoes, bread, etc almost anything. The guide works great too. Although I don't always use it, it does make uniform slices of tomatoes. The guide is aluminum and tarnishes some if not used, so scrub it down before using if it is "grey". I have used it to carve meat but not so much as I prefer a my Gerber carver (thinner blade) for turkey, beef, ham etc. Still the wonder slicer is one of my favorite kitchen tools. I sharpen my other knives but this one just seems to keep cutting well without sharpening. Its perfect, hope they never change it.
