Boker Plus Nessmi Pro Fixed Blade Knife 2.64" D2 Satin Nessmuk, Brown Micarta Handles, Leather Sheath - 02BO018
BO02BO018: Boker Plus Nessmi Pro
The compact Boker Plus Nessmi Pro got its name from the American adventurer George W. Sears (1821-1890). He lived on the East Coast, publishing books and magazine articles about life in the wilderness under the pen name Nessmuk. Honoring his idea of making outdoor gear as light as possible, the Danish knifemaker Jesper Voxnæs developed this particularly compact version of the Nessmuk Knife. The knife sports a full-tang build of D2 that is great for outdoor use, hunting and everyday cutting tasks. Layers of red fiber under the handle scales of brown Micarta and the delicate satin finish of the leaf-shaped blade create visual interest and give the Nessmi Pro an extraordinary look. Comes with a handy leather sheath. The characteristic hollow rivets do double duty as a lanyard hole.
With a chromium content of 12%, D2 – a tool steel – can certainly be classified as a stainless steel. Since its chromium content is right on the threshold, however, a little more care for the D2 wouldn't go amiss.
