BO140409DAM: Boker Damascus Ebony Straight Razor 2.0

Boker

The Damascus Straight Razors are an absolute highlight in the more than 100-year history of world-wide renown of Boker high-quality Straight Razors. The special exclusivity comes from using powder metallurgical, stainless Damascus steel from Sweden. In a very technically demanding and complex process, 180 layers of Damascus steel are created in a sintering process to create the perfect starting material for the fine hand-sharpening of the blades. The traditional extra-hollow grind (sound) lets the fine edge carry a tune and lets the beautiful and extraordinarily fine grain of the natural Damascus pattern shine. The 5/8 inch wide blade has a two-sided serration for a safe grip. Boker Damascus Straight Razors are completely hand-made in the Boker knife manufactory in Solingen in a 150-step process. The knife comes with a certificate of authenticity in a refined presentation display that has an individual serial number.

The dark color and fine grain of the refined ebony wood emphasize the elegance and noble look of this unique piece of artisanry. This valuable certified Imported fine wood is very dense, is very sturdy, and is very resistant to aging, which makes it a preferred choice for any handle, not only for decorative uses. As decoration, the historic Boker tree logo is expertly inserted into the handle scales, a craft that is hard to find these days. The tang is serrated on both sides.
