CIIP702: River Witham Viking Sword
The original sword this model is crafted after was dredged up from the Witham River in England. Vikings used these swords in raids back in the tenth century. At 3.3 pounds, it was wielded with one hand at ease. The blade is hand forged with 5160 carbon steel, which has great edge retention and strength. The handles are made from wood and then wrapped in black suede leather. The leather provides a comfortable and secure grip while wielding. The pommel and cross guard are also solid carbon steel with copper diamond inlays. The sword also includes a wood scabbard wrapped in black leather with steel accents at the throat and tip.
