CR9901: Ryan Glasgow 9901 Twist & Fix
CRKT

"Wheel": reinvented. Nearly every garage and catch-all drawer in existence is home to a torx and hex tool. But not like this one. The Twist & Fix tool is an ingenious take on one of our most basic necessities to make an everyday repair job just a little more awesome.

Designer Ryan Glasgow has always been fascinated by the simplicity and usability of a bent-pin coupler—a form of old mechanical linkage. In his shop in Portland, Oregon, he spent years tinkering, trying to apply it to a multi-tool in a way that’s fun to use and highly useful. The end result: the Twist & Fix. Instead of being housed in fixed, eternal bearings, each element in the toolset revolves around a central axle, lengthening the tool you need and keeping the others out of the way. They’re held together with a low-profile frame, snapping in and out with ease so your workflow remains uninterrupted.

The Twist & Fix is proof that ingenuity can add a little fun to mundane maintenance.

Clever Design
Liked this design because I cannot tell what size torx or hex wrench I need just by looking at the screw. This tool provides a convenient way to carry and use the wrench that't the right size. Much better than many of the other tools out there that tend to pinch my fingers because of the relatively small size.

Clever Idea
When I need a torx or hex wrench, I need a spectrum of sizes at my disposal because I can't tell what size I'm going to need just by looking at the nut. This design keeps the whole set together while making the specific size I need easily accessible for the task. The L shape of the tool coupled with the relatively large size also makes this tool much easier to use than most hex wrenches that tend to pinch my fingers.
