Kershaw Knives
Kershaw and Danish custom knife and toolmaker, Jens Anso, have teamed up to create a handsome knife just right for the knife user who prefers a contemporary look. This slim, sleek design weighs in at a "Fraxion" of the weight of other comparable knives — under two ounces.

The Fraxion's lighter weight is thanks to the streamlined design as well as to the light-yet-strong G10 handles with carbon fiber overlay. An inset liner lock secures the blade open during use while also helping keep down the overall weight and helping maintain the handle’s comfortable slimness.

The clip point blade features a top swedge, a slight recurve to enhance slicing capabilities and a brushed satin finish. Built of 8CR13MoV stainless steel, the blade offers a sharp, long-lasting edge for day-to-day tasks. The Fraxion is a manual knife but can be opened quickly, easily, and one-handed with the built-in flipper. For convenient left or right-handed carry, the Fraxion is equipped with a reversible pocket clip, enabling it to ride comfortably low in the pocket.
  • Flipper - May be used with manual or assisted opening knives. Tee "flipper" is a protrusion on the back of the blade that the user can pull back on, or flip, in order to move the blade easily out of the handle.
  • Manual - There is no mechanical assist, such as SpeedSafe, used to open the folding knife. It opens the classic, old-school way.
  • Inset Liner Lock - A strip of stainless steel is riveted inside the knife’s handle—most commonly when the handle is a lightweight material. This enables us to create a slimmer, lighter knife, while still providing the strength and security of a locking liner.
  • Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.

My Go-To Knife
This is an excellent everyday-carry knife. It is very lightweight, and I believe that the flipper mechanism without the Speedsafe feature takes it out of some of the legal issues that might come up in certain states, but still allows it to be an effective one-handed knife. The only drawback of the lack of the Speedsafe is that it needs a little more wrist action with the flipper to be sure that it locks in place when it is opened.I am not a fan of the pocket clips, and removing it makes me forget that I am even carrying this knife.I am about to order a couple more.

good, light duty knife
Have been using this knife for a few days now. Here are my impressions:It is VERY light weight, almost feather light, never know it is in your pocket.Blade is perfectly centered and opens extremely smoothly. It has no blade play in any direction. Blade came sharp. Passed the phone book paper test easily; clean slice with no drag. My only suggestion is that a thin, light weightmetal liner (like on the Chill) would enhance the strength of the handle withoutadding significant weight. IMHO this is a great light duty EDC for home, office, etc.It is not a heavy duty work knife to me. One thing that adds to the WOW factoris that the checker board carbon handle onlays are actually 3D holograms. If youmove the knife, the geometric pattern becomes 3D holographic. I showed it to my wife to check that my old eyes weren't playing tricks and she seesit as well. Don't know if all models/colors of the Fraxion are like this orI just got the Cracker Jack box prize, but it is neat. Overall a fine, littleknife at a great price. As usual KC's service was excellent - thanks KC.
