Kershaw Knives

Get a dark tactical look with the Launch 6 automatic knife from Kershaw.

This slim—and ever-so-slightly wicked-looking—knife features premium CPM-154 blade steel. This powdered metallurgy steel offers more uniform distribution of carbides so it takes and holds an excellent edge. It also provides good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and toughness. Black DLC coating adds non-reflectivity and enhances performance.

Durable anodized aluminum handles lighten the Launch 6's weight and Kershaw machines them to provide a secure grip. This automatic knife opens with a recessed push button. Kershaw made the button level with the flat of the handle as a safety feature that makes it harder for the knives to accidentally deploy. Left-handers can use an index finger instead of the thumb to press the blade-release/lock button. The Launch 6 also has a reversible pocket clip and a pre-drilled lanyard tie-off hole.

  • Push-Button Lock - Found on the Kershaw Folding Saw, It locks the saw blade open during use, then releases with the push of a button.
  • Made In The USA - When you see this on one of our knives, it means the knife was made in our Tualatin, Oregon manufacturing facility by skilled Kershaw knifemakers.
  • Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.

Great Knife But....
Everything about this knife is first rate and it locks up perfectly every time. Deployment is very quick for a large blade. The only problem is the plunge lock is sticky. After many openings, the lock will stick intermittently. Other than that, the knife is perfect.

Launch 6 problem solved!
I have wanted the launch 6 for a while. Finally I pulled the trigger on one...teal with a stonewashed blade. I love it. I had some reservations after I purchased it because in some of the vids they failed to lock in the open position. That is a pretty serious flaw in my opinion and a number of the owners of this knife felt the same. But Kershaw must have listened to these criticisms because the one I just recently bought is perfect. I have fired it dozens of times and it has not failed to lock in the open position even once. One thing I noticed is that it opens a fraction slower than the originals. This quite possibly results in a better locking speed. The blade at 3.75” is a little bigger than many auto’s which may also result in a slower opening.I have to admit, I am a little burnt out by black blade coatings. That is why I chose the stonewashed version and I love it. Also the handle shape is pretty much perfect and looks like something Darth Vader or Batman would own. All in all, considering it is made in America and has a CPM-154 steel blade, I think it is a great value in an auto. Also I grabbed mine on sale for $89.95!One caveat: it could have come sharper but took less than a minute to correct that issue.
