LZA111: A311 Alpha 1-Cell Modular Flashlight, 315 Max Lumens

The Elzetta 'Alpha' is the name designating that this modular flashlight requires 1 CR123A lithium battery. It features a crenellated bezel, 6061 T6 aluminum construction with a mil-spec type II hard anodized finish and a rotary tailcap. This compact light is ready to be mounted on a weapon and it puts out 315 lumens on high. It's built like a SureFire; ultra-tough, compact and right here in the USA. Batteries included.

All Elzetta Flashlight components are interchangeable, interoperable, and available individually for simple changes/modifications/upgrades. They are designed, engineered and manufactured in the USA using American tooling, labor and materials. The Elzetta Alpha is backed by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
  • Rotary Tailcap - Enables the activation of the light with a simple turn of the tailcap.
  • Crenellated Bezel - A series of rounded projections (or the notches between them) formed by curves along an edge. On Elzetta lights, this may be used for a striking tool, or to set the light bezel down while in the ON position so that the light/heat may escape between the scallops.

Best light ever
This is the best flashlight I've ever had. Words like tank and overbuilt don't do it justice. I have been a Surefire fan for about 12 years and have no complaints about their products. Was shopping around and saw some videos about Elzetta and wanted to check it out. It is incredibly solid but doesn't weigh much but it isn't a tiny light. Picture a roll of quarters cut in half and thats close to this lights proportions. I have come to the point that I like simple. Push the button in till it clicks and ~300 lumens (honestly seems brighter), turn it a quarter turn and its output drops to low mode (think around 15 lumen). No need to push a button 5 + times or more, no more programming modes I'll never use. I used to go for the highest lumen lights but 300 is bright enough to do anything and still give good battery life. Elzetta also has interchangeable parts so its easy swap parts which is way underrated. Simple and tough. Its on the pricey side and probably larger than most people want but the pluses outweigh size/price and to me and its one of the best EDC/tactical pieces of gear I have ever used.

Potted electronics make the difference
I bought this without really knowing very much about it because I wanted a high quality, US made flashlight and my first choice, Surefire, could not be shipped to Hong Kong. Well sometimes the gods smile on you. This torch is amazing. You can't really judge from the pictures just how good this feels in the hand and the bombproof quality that this torch exhibits. It feels like like a little tank. It's small enough for everyday carry and stunningly bright. Ignore comparisons that suggest it is poor value because a cheaper torch has better technical specifications and costs less. For a single cell torch this is incredibly bright and it has a nicely toned even beam with more than enough reach for any real world application. More importantly it will work every single time, for a very long time. The once thing that the product description fails to mention is that this torch has potted electronics. What does that mean? It means the internal electronics are permanently sealed in solid epoxy. Nothing can break and they are entirely impervious to water, dust and shock. There is a reason these torches survive a 300ft drop from a helicopter onto concrete. If you can afford it, this is the one to get. I just bought another one for my wife.
