Used and abused
I've used this knife to pry concrete off steel, used the butt end of the knife to break concrete into pieces, used the tip to screw/unscrew screws, hammer in nails, chop limbs from trees, cut tomatoes, sliced boxes, thrown it into trees...I've run this knife through it's paces over 3 or so years, and yes it is cheap steel, did dull kinda quick (though it holds an edge better than other 8CR13MOV steels I've used), but it's a cheap knife. That's what makes it the best torture knife. Save your $100 knife for a paperweight and take this one on a camping trip. It's somewhat easy to sharpen on a stone (heavy, medium, fine) and gets to a hair shaving edge. Just depends on what angle you sharpen at. Also, I removed the G10 handles and used a single wrap of paracord...cuts weight, still ergonomic, looks good but won't fit in sheath anymore. All around perfect knife that can take abuse and ask for more.

Pros: Handle Material, None
Cons: Blade Material, Sheath/Scabbard
its mediocre chinese steel, loses its edge quickly, and is overall unimpressive. the thick slabs of g-10 are its only real saving grace giving it a solid feel in hand, but make it very heavy. sheath is cheap as well, knife rattles when sheathed and the retention is lackluster. do your self a favor, if you want an affordable survival knife at twice the quality and even less expensive, get a Mora instead.

Schrade SCHF13 - Great value for money
This knife is absolute great value for money. Similar knifes made from the same materials easily cost three times more. I bought this knife as a gift for my son. I am now going to have it Cerakoted in his preferred camo colours. The young man should be very happy indeed. It is a bit of a pity to cover the beautiful stone-washed blade, but, there are worse problems in life.
