Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
Scary sharp, watch your fingers.
This is a quality knife, worth the price. It is scary sharp, and has no guard so watch your fingers. I have not cut myself, but I can see a novice slicing themselves badly. This could not ever be a serious fighting blade because it lacks a guard. I will probably end up with a Boker Sykes-Fairbairn dagger as my serious carry blade. The Boker has a guard as this knife was designed by actual warriors who used it in actual fights. They knew what worked, and what was bullshit. I still like taking this SOG out, and looking at it.

This knife is crap
I used to really like SOG knives back when they were making them in Japan. The Taiwan versions just don't cut it. My Pentagon arrived and the grind is all wrong on the end of the serrated side. This is a dagger and it has no point. The two sides are ground differently and it comes together at the tip SQUARED OFF.This was my last SOG purchase.

SOG Pentagon
I own the older and better made Japanese version of this great design. While this one looks similar, it can't be as well built. Anything to save a couple of bucks, I guess.
