Great fun, already came in handy!
I just received it today - comes in a nice metal tin, inside which is a nice zippered container, inside, with the tool and a wiping cloth inside that. The action is smooth. I've never been one to do tricks with a balisong but what little I was ever able to do, I can still do with this. I think the other rater got a bad or dirty one or something. My only fear is wearing it out, and only time will tell about that. I was doing some handiwork around the house when I needed to pry something - this isn't typical - and got the biggest grin as I was able to whip this out and easily accomplish the task.

Opens nicely - easy to play with. This is a cool item. It takes some playing with to get all the possibilities on this thing. Definitely worth the price. Knifecenter rocks

Interesting idea, very poorly executed
The idea behind this was interesting and the reviews at SHOT Show seemed promising. But as with many thing conceived, the actually production of this idea is a failure. The barrings are supposed to be made of ceramic but seemed to be actually made with gum, which is the only reason I can surmise for their inability to allow the handles to open smoothly or with anything less than an excessive amount of force when attempting to manipulate them. In addition, the latch at the bottom of the handle is nearly too short to lose the handles, forcing you to tightly squeeze the handles in order to close and lock it. A very poor product and a horrific way to be introduced to ArtisanCutlery.
