Gerber always delivers
It's just the perfect size for my hand, handle scales are a bit slick as mentioned in other reviews but it's really not too big a deal. Sharp as a razor, finish is great, sheath is great, overall just a great knife for the price. Definitely worth it.

good knife
they have been selling this knife for years under different names, I have this As a Winchester Ranger Knife it has a slightly different handle and sheath but its the same blade for sure, Ive had my winchester version for about 6 years and have used it camping countless times its a good overall small fixed blade it holds an edge fairly well and will hold up to a ton of abuse my knife isnt even grey anymore on most places because of use, the coating may be worn but the edge is perfect its a good blade at a good price, As for the sheath i cant say the winchester sheath is different but that one has also held up fantastically over the years I do reccomend

A few flaws, but still a great knife!
If you're on a budget, and looking for a combat-style knife, I'd recommend at least putting this one on your list of potential buys. The knife as a whole is quite sturdy, as is the sheath, for the most part. The sheath has a few carry options: there's a belt loop, which can be used either with or without the leg strap. I've tried both, and they're equally comfortable, although I have a slight preference for the leg strap, especially if I'm going to be sitting down (keeps it from sticking out at odd/uncomfortable angles). There's also a MOLLE setup on the back of the sheath, which I've used on my backpack a few times. The sheath itself has a hard plastic insert, as well as a snap closure to keep the knife in place. One nice surprise I found was that the straps on the snap closure have velcro on them to keep them open so you don't have to move them out of the way (as much) when putting the knife back in the sheath. In addition to the snap closure, the sheath also has an elastic flap at the top to hold the bottom of the handle in place. Although I haven't tried this yet, I imagine this is mainly used when mounting the knife upside-down on a shoulder strap or a vest. I wouldn't recommend using it when it's on your belt, as it will inevitably slip off. My only real complaint about the knife—which other reviewers have also made—is that the handle material is rather slick.
