Pros: Handle Material, Pocket Clip, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Feel, Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Lock Type
I was expecting to be let down as most of the Gerber knives I've purchased always had something wrong with them. But I was not only surprised by the Sumo when I took it out of the packaging, I was overjoyed. I couldn't believe the quality of it for the $37 price tag. It truly is a poor man's Benchmade. A non-knife person wouldn't know the difference. I know the steel snobs will scoff at the 7Cr17MoV, but they'll be missing out on the best budget knife to come out this year hands down. After fidgeting with it all day, it's already broken in nicely. The new Gerber packaging it came in was also impressive. I really hope Gerber stays in this direction they're going. I haven't been this excited over one of their knives, well, never. I hope a smaller version with a 3 inch blade is in the works. Thank you, Gerber. Keep up the great work.
