Gerber 600 multi-tool is the best I have ever used
The reason I made my recent purchase is I lost the Gerber multi-tool I have been carrying for the past 15 yeads or so. I use this tool several times a day and feel lost if I leave the house without it.The tool will last for ever but the canvas shealth will not.In the past I replaced the sheath with a leather one.

only one with more useful blunt nose
I've been using this tool almost daily for over 15 years, my original broke unrepairably about 8 to 10 years ago & Gerber replaced with better model no charge. I find I much easier to use than the leatherman (which I have for 20 years) . its quite heavy duty for a tool of its size. The sheath wears out quickly, so I made my own open top one from heavy leather for easy quick draw. this tool is always by my side.

Broke both carbide inserts cutting woven wire
the older version had a better wire cutter system.I broke the carbide inserts the first time I used it to cut fence wire. All the other features are great.

carbide insert cutters SUCK!
Older Gerbers had permanent cutters. Never let me down and I've used them for 20+ years for cutting wire (Special event production/installation). The carbide insert cutter leaves a gap at the base of the cutter that invariably catches the wire and will not cut it. Idiotic system. Highly UNrecommended!
