Yes, it is as good as it looks

Yes, the lock seems rock-solid, but honestly I didn’t buy it just for that reason. All the other locks on my knives have been quite secure. I finally decided to buy this one because the handle is gorgeous, the knife has some nice weight without being too wide, and I like the blade shape. The handle has a good texture to it—not slippery. The blade is centered and is almost completely enclosed in the handle, making the flipper necessary. It has a very secure detent and requires some pressure to exercise the flipper but then it pops out fast and locks up with vault-like confidence. I was skeptical about the “glass breaker”, wondering if it might be too sharp or a risk in my pocket but so far so good. Yes, the box is crap but I didn’t buy it for the box. This is one unique knife at a good price point.

Love this knife

This is a wonderful EDC knife. Beautiful aesthetics and ergonomics with textured titanium scales. The handle is tall but not wide so it comfortably fills your hand. It fits easily in pocket. Pleasantly heavy feel, not a lightweight. Good flipper action with a sweeping bellied Blade. The locked blade is so solid it almost feels like a fixed blade due to a new 4 point locking mechanism. A small protruding glass breaker at top of knife when closed does not catch on your pocket or cause any issues. It’s a part of the locking mechanism. Overall very pleased with this knife built for heavy duty but good looking for EDC.

I like it!

I was really interested in this one when I heard about it, and waited for it to be released. I'm impressed! The overall fit and finish on this ended up being very nice. I was initially concerned when I opened the box, because I had a lot of blade play. It turned out the pivot was just loose. I cranked it down, and even with significant tightening, the blade flies right out. The lock works as advertised. This knife locks up tight! It really is impressive. You work it just like a liner lock, so it's easy to use, but it feels much more solid than a standard liner lock. I also have had no issues with the pivot coming loose again. The blade came razor sharp with a beautiful satin finish. The pocket clip works very well with the handle texturing, having good grip but not tearing my pockets. I also really like how it feels in my hand. The handle is not overly thick, but it is a tall handle, so it still fills the hand really well. The only negatives were my receiving it with a loose pivot, the packaging was pretty cheap (understandable though, as GTI is a smaller company), and it is a heavy knife (the solid titanium handles are not milled out at all). I am not bothered by weight, but a lot of people are. All in all, this a really high quality blade. Definitely recommend.

If you love titanium...and lots of knife real estate...

This is a distinctive design. The Delta Lock does give a rock-solid lock-up. The handle is fairly slim for such a substantial, hefty knife and yet has unusual depth, making for a really good grip. The diamond texturing on the titanium is beautifully-done and effective. The blade—also of significant depth—is almost completely enclosed within the handle. The detent is very confident—the only possible downside is that it can take a little extra pressure to flip the blade. The unusual glass breaker shape and location was initially a concern for my pocket but it hasn’t been an issue. All-in-all, an impressive, commanding piece of innovative design. Hope to see more from this maker.
