Hogue Knives are extremely UNDERRATED
This is my second Hogue knife, and all I have to say is that I'm not disappointed in the least. This knife is Grade A++. Their secret deployment mechanism is quite remarkable for not having a spring embedded in the handle. Another reviewer mentioned this and I have to agree, their button lock is second to none. Truthfully, I'd like to see someone test it up again the tri-ad lock which is supposedly the most robust their is. The cryogenically treated CPM-154 steel is wicked sharp; not to mention the blade design is one of the alluring I've ever seen; it's also perfectly centered. 6061-T6 aluminum is my favorite, it has a good grip without tearing at your skin. The G10 is nicely finished with excellent control in your palm. The pocket clip is too tight but that's an easy adjustment. Again I have to mention that I love the fact that Hogue's secondary lock keeps the blade locked open, not closed. If you disagree, you'll see what I mean in an emergency. I'm sorry to write a book but this knife is it. The pouch it comes in is very elegant too. If you haven't already done so, TREAT YOURSELF to a beautiful piece of art with Hogue Knives!!
