Love this knife
My second one, the first lasted me 5-6 years with heavy use. Took me 4.5 years before I broke the tip off on a wild oyster (at least it was a manly way to break it) sharpened it myself and quite often kept it sharp enough to impress professional chefs. If I could only get the clip off I would be happier. Great weigh, durability and action.

EXCELLENT KNIFE
I MAINLY USE THIS FOR OPENING THINGS BECAUSE I GET LOTS OF PACKAGES AND I USE IT WHEN I GO CAMPING. IT WILL CUT EVERYTHING THAT I PUT IT UP TO. IT CAME EXTREMELY SHARP OUT OF THE BOX AND I HAVEN'T HAD TO SHARPEN IT YET. ALL AROUND GREAT KNIFE.

I love this knife
I bought it at a mall for $60. Way too much but this was over three years ago. I still have this as an everyday tool and have used it everyday for over three years. Fishing, camping, screwdriver, you name it and I've done it. Finally broke the point off a couple months ago on a wild oyster (manly way to break a knife if you ask me). Just re sharpened and still use. I might buy another now that I can find them cheap.

Ka-Bar Can Do Better
I was not impressed with this knife, and I was even less impressed with Ka Bar's quality control. The first knife I received was completely dysfunctional in that the lock did not even engage, so the blade just flopped around when opened. I sent it back to Ka Bar and they sent me a new one, this one locked but just barely. The lock failed with the slightest pressure on the back of the blade, making it practically useless. Apart from this problem the knife simply wasn't very well designed. The handle is overly large for such a small blade, and there is a notch where the blade meets the handle that makes cutting tasks tedious. Frankly, the only good things about this knife are the G-10 scales, and that it's fairly easy to open. You can do a lot better for just a few more dollars, but even at this price this isn't a good choice.
