cool knife
The look of the knife is really cool. I preordered so I'm not sure if it was first run or intended, but the speed assist is not as strong as my other kershaws (by far). Also the liner lock is very tight, almost hard to close one handed.

Glad I took a chance.
I was drawn to the design. The reverse Tanto blade looked like it would be pretty functional for a lot of duties. The grip looked very ergonomic. Haven't really used the knife, so I can't speak to it's actual functionality. The grip is less comfortable than it looks. The nearest I can figure is that the shape of the handle allows the fingers to come in contact with the sharp edges of the liner. A little filing may fix this. This handle gives fantastic grip. One thing I haven't heard mentioned is that the blade is a flat grind. Rare at this price point. Others may disagree, but I think the flat grind is superior to the hollow grind that is on most folders at this price.

Decent work knife at this price.
Purchased a couple of months ago and use it mainly around the property and shop. Inexpensive blade so I don't mind abusing it a little. Feels good in the hand. Blade shape is odd, but useful for detailed cutting and scraping. I like that my thumb can be placed up on the back of the blades spine and feels secure. Action etc. is good and fortunately the blade sharpens easily.

Finally corrected steel
Glad to see the steel type was finally corrected so nobody going toward has to be disappointed like I was. Still wondering why none of my previous reviews were posted... Nice design but sub-par blade steel and insufficient assist strength to fully open without wrist-flick. I was hoping this would be an adequate replacement for the awesome 'Needs Work'. Not so. Kershaw has done, and could do, much better with this design than this offering.
