Love this knife!

I've carried this knife for two years and love it. The speed safe is great and the blade profile is perfect. sharpens to a razor easily and holds an edge well. I had the speed safe fail and sent it back to Kershaw and the sent me a new one no problem. I couldn't wait so I ordered two more from Knife Center and know have back ups. Thanks Knife Center!!

I Purchased an Everyday Carry Winner

I use this knife for everyday carry. Most frequently I use it for opening boxes that i receive from internet orders. The boxes are usually sealed with stranded tape or heavy Scotch brand shipping or packing tape. Sometimes the boxes are reinforced with stranded/reinforced non-adhesive nylon strapping. This knife opens easily one handed and cuts all of these materials on almost an everyday occurrence rapidly and safely. It also maintains its edge and I like the way the Wharncliffe style blade easily starts cutting with its point. The handle material is glass-reinforced nylon and it works well but I would have preferred G10 fiberglass handle material. I was not expecting to like this knife as much as I do knowing it did not have all of features of a Zero Tolerance model. However, I was pleasantly surprised at just how well it opens and performs. I was especially happy with the full metal liners and the liner lock fit.

Excellent EDC pocket knife

This is a very very fine knife for the money. The blade came sharp and was easy to make sharper. The Speed Safe opening system is fast and reliable. The blade shape is good for cutting and thrusting, and the scales fit well in the hand. The clip has kept it securely in my pocket. I have nothing to say about it so far that’s not positive.

Very nice addition

This is a very nice addition to the Kershaw line. The knife is pretty slim, just a hair thicker than the Leek. The blade is sharp, the assisted opening action is fast, and the handles feel far more secure in the hand than their traditional glass filled nylon. I wonder by the design if they're trying to mimic Spyderco's signature bi-directional pattern (which has an amazing grip when clutched in your hand). I have only owned this knife a short time but, my only issue with it would be a lack of jimping on the spine. They should really implement this on more of their knives to provide a secure grip, not just some of them. Also, the handle could be just a hair longer to provide a better feel in the hand. Oh, by the way, no blade play and the centering is very good.

smooth, solid, great value

I'm impressed for the size it's not too heavy or too bulky. Opening is smooth, not super quick. Good hefty blade that was razor sharp out of the package.

Handle not ver grippy

Handle is kinda slippery. I removed the pocket clip because it’s a hotspot. Knife is meh. But I guess that’s what I want. A beater knife. Every time I spend a lot of money on a knife I never want to use it lol. I got it for $30 at menards so cant complain. Seen it for $50 at scheels. $60 at gander. Like is gander trying to file bankruptcy again by selling things at a price that only a fool would pay.

Just the tip!

This knife has great potential to be a great little blade. It is small, lightweight, great deployment, perfect edc...EXCEPT! The tip on this blade its about as thick as a sheet of paper for about 5mm. That is a HUGE disappointment because the tip is going to break off, and I don't think it will take much to do it either.
