First off, this is not a heavy European-style chef's knife. The blade is thinner than that, which I prefer. If you're not going to use it as a cleaver, it's hard to image a better knife at any price. The steel is top-notch and the workmanship is fantastic. Layered stainless cladding is very cool, and normally something you wouldn't expect at this price. Love it.
